United Kingdom

In the UK we partner with primary and secondary schools, arts festivals, the British Council, and other philanthropic organizations.

Our approach is not to take one model and apply it everywhere – we listen to students and educators and ask what they need. If you share our vision, we would be delighted to hear from you.

SCILT has been able to develop an Arabic program for youngsters in Scotland’s primary and secondary schools who haven’t had the opportunity to learn the language. Using a blend of live-streamed online teaching, assisted in the classroom by a team of Arabic Language Assistants, “Discovering the World of Arabic” will make an important contribution to schools’ implementation of Scotland’s 1+2 languages policy. The live-streamed teaching approach was tried and tested during the period of school closures to much success and, as a result of QFI’s support, SCILT was able to ensure that Arabic was part of the large program of language learning that was put in place nationally to support home learning.
