Omar Tarabishi helps to implement, develop and advance Arabic Language programs in K-12 schools in North America and Europe by providing grant opportunities to educators of Arabic. He currently works on Assessment, Teacher Training, Arabic Teacher Councils, and Immersion.
Omar joined QFI in 2019. Prior to his work at QFI, he worked at the University of Maryland College Park as the Arabic Advisor, Summer Language Institute Coordinator, and Project GO Coordinator helping students succeed in post-secondary Arabic education. Previous to UMD, Omar worked as a Cost-of-Living Surveyor at Air-Inc for over two years traveling to over 53 countries, mostly in the Middle East and Arab World.
Omar holds an MA in International Education Policy and a BA in Arabic Studies from the University of Maryland. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Flagship Program where he completed his capstone year at the University of Alexandria in Egypt from 2012-2013.
