The opportunity to learn about other cultures first-hand through an in-country experience is an unparalleled educational experience for teachers. QFI partners with the Global Exploration for Educators Organization (GEEO) to offer cultural immersion trips to the Arab world for U.S. primary and secondary school teachers.
Throughout the year, educators travel to Qatar and Oman for a 12-day experience where they explore historical and cultural sights led by in-country guides. Sessions during the evenings facilitate curriculum connections and discussion.
This fully-funded program covers travel, lodging, and meal expenses for participants. Preference is given to educators who are in the social science, humanities, and arts fields and demonstrate both a strong interest in and commitment to teaching about the Arab world in their classrooms.
