QFI offers a variety of initiatives involving Arabic language and Arab societies and cultures to primary and secondary students, program alumni, and college undergraduates. Students can apply for grants for intensive summer Arabic language courses. At the secondary level, the Arabic Honor Society supports students in Arabic language study through their awards for summer study, study abroad, and college tuition; information resources about further study; facilitating access to scholarships and grants; and language-related career planning.
Summer Arabic Study Award Program
Through grants to attend leading academic institutions that offer intensive summer Arabic courses, we provide need- and merit-based scholarships to primary and secondary school students in the US. Scholarship applications open in the spring, with the summer programs take place between June and August. Academic institutions that have, or are planning to offer, summer Arabic programs may submit an application in response to the annual Request for Proposals (RfP) in November.
