In this unit, students will learn about different Middle Eastern countries' visions for the future by looking at images, reading plans, and watching videos. It will allow students to learn about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to understand the unique challenges facing countries such as Oman, Qatar, and the UAE. Students will plan and map out a city that supports a SDG and addresses an issue facing their local communities.

This unit is intended for middle and high school students and requires five class periods for the art portion and an additional three class periods for language arts.
