Build, Access, Develop: Capacity and Resources for Challenging Times

As COVID-19 cases resurge here in the US, teachers continue to educate their students via distance learning and hybrid models.  It’s important for teachers to remember that there are practices to help deal with the stress and pressure they may be experiencing.

In this webinar, Kim Dobrin and Alaa Hedeeb with FreetheMind Co go through resources and self-care practices you can use for yourself, fellow teachers, and even with your students.

You’ll hear from several Arabic teachers in the QFI community and how they are connecting with their students and about their experiences here in the US as an Arabic teacher, sharing their culture via online classroom activities.

Kim and Alaa share practices to take home with you that will help for this and other challenging times such as the WIN technique, breathing techniques to help relax, and a reflection on the fact that this is not the first time Arabic teachers have faced such a challenge.

This webinar took place on November 10, 2020.
