Are You Interested in Attending the Oxford/QFI Forum?

Oxford and QFI are hosting a two-day forum for researchers and practitioners at the Department of Education, University of Oxford, UK on 11th-12th July 2024, which aims to bridge the gap between research and practice. We want to bring together key stakeholders from the AL2 community to discuss the findings of Oxford's systematic reviews and to consider actionable implications and next steps for teaching and learning AL2 in schools.

We are looking for people who are interested in attending and who are currently any of the following:

• Teaching AL2 to learners aged up to 18 years
• Involved in the management / administration of schools teaching AL2 (or interested in offering Arabic) – e.g., head teachers, heads of modern languages
• Working in academia and researching the teaching and learning of AL2
• Doctoral students focussing on the teaching and learning of AL2
• Policymakers working on language education, with an interest in AL2.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who would be interested in carrying out or supporting future research into teaching and learning AL2 in school classrooms. This could be, for example, teachers who are interested in carrying out action research or academics who are interested in partnering with schools.

Please note that this event will be conducted in English and attendance is expected at both days of the forum.
