About the Resources

QFI has collaborated with the University of Leeds to develop a guide that is a resource that provides practical classroom strategies for integrating linguistic variation in Arabic teaching. It supports educators in making informed decisions about the use of Modern Standard Arabic and spoken varieties within the UK context.

The QFI Schemes of Work provide structured study plans for Year 7, Year 8, and Year 9 students at different stages of learning and can be adapted to suit a variety of school settings. Each plan includes a curriculum map and a detailed weekly scheme of work, designed to develop language skills, cultural understanding, and early-stage progression in Arabic learning.

QFI’s Chatty Mats are classroom language placemats designed to support speaking and everyday interaction in Arabic. They offer visual prompts and functional language to encourage participation and foster independent language use.

QFI also provides writing and speaking support for the GCSE Arabic. Preparing students for GCSE assessments can be challenging for both learners and educators. The QFI blogs outline exam structure, expectations, and practical strategies to support effective preparation for the writing component and oral exam.
