QFI Blog: Voices Advancing Arabic Language Education

At Qatar Foundation International (QFI), we are committed to advancing the value of teaching and learning Arabic as a global language.

To support this goal, we invite educators, researchers, experts, and other related stakeholders to contribute to our blog series, Voices Advancing Arabic Language Education. Our aim is to create a vibrant global network where professionals can exchange ideas, address challenges, and share innovative practices that advocate Arabic in both academic and professional fields.

  • Featured Theme: Proficiency-Based Assessments

For the first part of 2026, QFI's blog series will spotlight a transformative topic: proficiency-based assessments in Arabic language education. We believe this important focus strengthens teaching and learning and opens doors for students' future academic and professional success. By focusing on this theme, we aim to spark conversation about why assessment matters, what effective practice looks like, and how it can foster growth across classrooms, programs, and communities.

Additionally, we encourage submissions that explore:

    • Practical ways to implement proficiency-based assessments in Arabic classrooms
    • How formative assessment supports student learning and progress
    • Assessment practices that inform teaching and provide meaningful feedback
    • Reflections on how assessment drives student success
